Question by HEWLETT: Safety Issues with downloading bank and credit card statements?
Safety Issues with downloading bank and credit card statements
Question Details: I have quickbooks and thought it would be better for my business to download my credit card statements and bank statements to desktop but did not know if it would cause safety problems as far as identity theft, etc. Thank you for your valued response.

Best answer:

Answer by seekinganswers36
I would not save them to the desktop, because then anyone who has access to your pc can access the information.
You need to set up a secure back up system for this information.
Downloading is much more secure than mail.
You never know who is going through your mail, but if you have secure passwords to your accounts on line. The information is much more secure. The banks go to great lengths to keep hackers out.

I’ve been reading but I don’t quite understand yet, what is the credit limit on the unsecured cards.

Best answer:

Answer by bdancer222
Are you applying or have you actually received the credit card?

The credit limit will be based on your credit worthiness. The limit could be only 0 or it could be K. If this is your first credit card, expect a small limit.

Use the card and pay it in full every month. After a year, they will probably increase your limit.

Does this card turn into an unsecured card ?
Does it really help you raise your credit score?

Best answer:

Answer by SPIFIMAN1
Orchard is one of the cards that I used to reestablish my credit after my bankruptcy back in 2001 and yes it works very well as long as you use it correctly.

By that I mean use it for every day things like lunch, gas things you would normally pay cash for and always pay it off if full before the due date.

After about 12-months of this they should switch it to unsecured.

Good luck.

Question by Taz: A Question about the US Visa Waiver Program for an Australian?
I am a 28 year old Indian-Born Australian man. I am planning to visit United States for about 16 days for a short vacation which includes visiting friends and relatives. So I’ll be using the VISA WAIVER PROGRAM which sounds like the best option. I also have an approved ESTA.

My question is ….

1). What documents do I need to carry apart from my Aussie Passport and a copy of return ticket?…And Is it OK if I take my Credit and Debit cards rather than any cash?

2). I have heard that a lot of people using the Visa Waiver Program are harassed and given a hard time by the Customs & Border officials without any valid reason….Is it true?. …I saw the “The Australian” story of Daniel Meadows on ABC. He seems to be a such a decent guy. I’ve heard that he was detained and returned on the same flight back without any valid reason.

….Since I don’t want something like that should happen with me. Should I apply for a B1 / B2 tourist visa (which should create less hassles at the POE) at the US consulate rather than using the Visa Waiver Program?………or is it OK to go there on Visa Waiver?…..Please advise.

Best answer:

Answer by MrS
Millions of people travel under the VWP every year without any problems . You would most likely be denied a B2 visa since you´re only planning on staying for 16 days, they would tell you to travel under the VWP.
Bring your return ticket, an address for a hotel or similar where you are planning to stay the first night and of course your passport.
You should also be prepared to answer simple questions about where you are planning to travel while there.
Credit cards are ok, you dont need your entire holiday budget in cash.
I think you are wrong in assuming that a B2 visa should create less hassle. As long as you have your documents in order and are just planning a short vacation you should have no problems whatsoever.

Question by ♥eeem: Valentines Day is coming around! What to get my Mum?
Valentines Day is coming around! What to get my Mum?
Valentines Day is a great excuse to spoil my Mum. She loves soaps that smell nice, frsh flowers and make over kits but i am sure she will get lots of that. I need something a little extra and pretty to show her how much she means to me.

Soaps that smell nice, fresh flowers and make over kits would be great but i dont know what brand or anything. It cannot be expensive a sshe hates expensive gifts and i am on a tight budget.
Just so you know what shes like.
Pretty, not extremely girly, loves the beach, outdoorsy and indoorsy, loves to be pampered and massaged by me, doesnt like spending much or recieving expensive gifts, absoloutley loves soaps and pretty little things lihe smelly candles, soaps etc, workds veyr hard for the family, tired after work, happy and cheerful, aussie mum. I am thinking of floating candles since recently she said she loves them.

Please help me decide. I cannot buy anything with credit cards or online payments as i am too young to do that and Mum cant do it for me since its for her. I hate buying online and she hates it too.

She is an old fashioned, loving mum who loves her kids and family.
She works at a child care centre so that shows how much she loves kids! Hahaha lol…Thanks..Cya

Itunes can’t be the ONLY place to buy online music?
Does anyone know a SECURE website where you can buy albums / tracks with a credit card?
I live in Australia and am sick of waiting for Itunes to release Albums / tracks 2 months after they have been released in other countries! and that’s IF Aussie Itunes even releases it in the first place! Thanx
limewire? “With every free song you download you get a free virus. ABSOLUTELY free!Thats right ladies & gents! Virus guaranteed with every download!”
Are you serious?! It’s not that i haven’t tried Torrents (not limewire)before, but they are even behind with album releases.
So thanks, but no thanks!
